Theresa McCormick
Supervisor of Federal Programs/Reading Specialist
Theresa McCormick was born and raised in Hardin County and graduated from Hardin County High School in 1988. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama, a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, and a Master’s +30 from UT Martin. In 2010, she added two endorsements to her license: Reading Specialist and ESL (English as a Second Language). She also has an administrator license.
She has been in education for eighteen years, during which she taught 1st grade for fourteen years and 3rd grade for one year. She was the RTI Coordinator for two years before transitioning into federal programs. During her first year as the RTI Coordinator, she also served as an interim assistant principal at Hardin County Middle School. Her heart is always in the classroom and she strives to always make decisions that are best for students.
She is married to Lynn McCormick, with whom she has two children. They are also graduates of Hardin County High School and the University of North Alabama as well. One of her passions is learning more about dyslexia. Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family.
